Learn Spanish vocabulary by speaking it

Spanish is easy to start and hard to sound natural in. Most learners can order a coffee after a few weeks, then stall: they recognise thousands of words but freeze when they need to use them in a sentence of their own.

FluenSi is built for that gap. You save the Spanish words you actually come across, from conversations, shows or menus, and FluenSi fills in their meaning, conjugations and examples. Then, at the right moment, it asks you to say a new sentence with each word, and tells you how natural it sounded.

How FluenSi breaks down a saved word
The hard part

What makes Spanish vocabulary tricky

And how speaking your own sentences gets you past it.

Two verbs for "to be"

Ser and estar both translate as "to be", and choosing the wrong one changes the meaning: "es aburrido" means someone is boring, "está aburrido" means they're bored. Flashcards can't teach that choice. Saying your own sentences, and getting them corrected, can.

Small verbs with many meanings

Everyday verbs like quedar, llevar and echar each cover half a dozen English verbs. FluenSi collects the sentences where you met a word, so you learn "quedar con alguien" and "no queda leche" as real uses of one word, not as two unrelated cards.

The subjunctive

"Quiero que vengas" and "espero que te guste" need the subjunctive, and it only becomes natural when you produce it yourself. Spoken reviews make you build those sentences, and the feedback points out when a mood is off and why.

Spain or Latin America

Coche or carro, ordenador or computadora: the right word depends on where you'll use it. Because you choose what to save, your vocabulary matches the Spanish you actually hear, not a course's choice of country.

How it works

Four steps to fluency

1

Translate and save

Speak or type a word or phrase, get an instant translation, then tap to save it as a focus word.

2

Get the full picture

FluenSi instantly analyses it: meaning, part of speech, full conjugation table and real example sentences.

3

Review by speaking, not guessing

At the right moment, say a fresh sentence with the word, never the same one twice.

4

Get feedback that sharpens you

After each review, your sentences are graded, with suggested edits to improve them.

Spanish FAQ

Learning Spanish with FluenSi

Does FluenSi teach Spanish from Spain or Latin America?

You choose the words, so it teaches the Spanish you need. Save the words you hear from friends, shows or travel, and add a note when a word is regional. Translations and analysis cover both.

Can I practise speaking Spanish without a conversation partner?

Yes. Every review asks you to say a new sentence with the word, out loud. At the end of the session each sentence is graded for how natural it sounds, with the smallest correction and a short reason when something is off.

Does it show Spanish conjugations?

Every verb you save gets its infinitive, past tense and full forms and conjugation tables, plus example sentences. You can also add forms the analysis missed.

I'm a complete beginner. Is FluenSi for me?

Yes. Turn on Beginner mode for Spanish and reviews become a quick multiple-choice quiz while you build your first words. Once you have about 100, FluenSi suggests moving on to speaking your own sentences.
